Join us for an Advent Journey to Jesus through Mary

Nov 21, 2017

As this week begins and Thanksgiving plans are under way, many of you will have active homes with checklists of what needs to be done, who is coming to dinner, kids on school break, and plans for shopping. But have you asked, “What can I do for myself to prepare my heart for Christmas?” After all, what is Advent?

Advent is a time to prepare for the coming of Christ.

This Advent, we invite you to join our parish community for the “Diocese of Venice Advent Journey to Jesus Through Mary”.

Our journey will follow the structure of the book 33 Days to Morning Glory by Father Michael Gaitley. However, if you do not have the book you can still join the parish in the journey each week in Parish Center as we come together and watch a retreat video.

Advent is a time to prepare for the coming of Christ.
Your Heart is asking you to prepare.

The journey begins today, Tuesday, November 21st, and goes through the Advent Season culminating with the consecration, which will take place throughout the diocese during Liturgy on December 24th with Bishop Dewane.  Following are three ways you can participate:

1.Journey in Daily Reflections and Prayer - Get the book - 33 Days to Morning Glory by Fr. Michael Gaitley, available in the Epiphany Gift Shop or online.

Additional resources:

Formed.org (Free to Epiphany Cathedral Parishioners) – Watch daily videos from the “33 Days to Morning Glory” series. (If you haven’t joined Formed.org, click here for the Parish Code and instructions.)

Download the app My Consecration and follow the daily reflections under Prepare.

2.Journey with Weekly Video Reflections - Tuesdays during Advent (11/28, 12/5, 12/12 & 12/19) in Parish Center at 6:30pm.

3.Unite in the Consecration – The journey will culminate with the consecration during the Liturgy on the fourth Sunday of Advent, Dec. 24.

We invite you to join our parish community in this Advent journey whereby we invite Jesus into our hearts through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and consecrate ourselves to Jesus through her.
