sacraments adults
The three sacraments of Christian initiation, Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion, closely combine to bring us, the faithful of Christ, to His full stature and to enable us to carry out the mission of the entire people of God in the Church and in the world.
Baptism
Baptism is part of the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)
1st Eucharist (Holy Communion)
First Eucharist for Adults is through the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)
1st Reconciliation/Confession
First Reconciliation/Confession for Adults is part of the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)
Adult Confirmation
Adult Confirmation is received in two different opportunities:
- Through the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA), Confirmation when combined with the above Sacraments can be done at the Easter Vigil.
- Practicing Catholics for some reason have missed receiving Confirmation, can attend classes that typically are offered on Sundays following Easter Sunday. Confirmation is then received on Pentecost Sunday with our diocesan bishop.
